To complement the refreshed courtyard and pool of this newly renovated oceanside motel in Old Orchard Beach, Garden Design Maine created a vibrant trio of gardens designed for color, texture, and seaside charm. Featuring a dynamic mix of ornamental grasses, hummingbird mint, panicle hydrangeas, coreopsis, yarrow, veronica, heliopsis, sedum, and gaillardia, the plantings provide season-long blooms and a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
This Saco motel's landscaping had been neglected for a few years, resulting in a mess of overgrown shrubs, vines and weeds. Garden Design Maine wrangled it back into shape within a few hours.
After all the weeds were removed and the dogwood shrubs were thinned, a lobster trap and buoys were revealed! Our team also added more flowers and shrubs to enhance and extend the visual appeal from May through September (not shown).
A residential builder hired Garden Design Maine to plant twenty trees on a new house lot in Parsonsfield, ME that had accidentally been over cleared during construction.
This motel pool in Old Orchard Beach, ME was once shielded from the road by 20' tall arborvitaes, whose stumps still remain buried just under soil surface in the garden bed. With challenging planting conditions and a tight budget, Garden Design Maine was hired to add a few long-blooming, low-maintenance perennials for more "wow" factor. The photo above was taken on planting day. Garden Design Maine also provides annual maintenance at this site.
In Saco, ME, another motel pool garden needed longer-blooming perennials to enhance its beauty from May to frost. Garden Design Maine dug up existing roses, one-and-done lilies and liatris and reorganized them. Then, hardy hibiscus, agastache, dwarf buddleia and ornamental grasses were added to complement them. A butterfly's delight!
Garden Design Maine designed and planted this rental property garden in Biddeford, ME as one of its first commercial projects and continues to provide spring and fall maintenance.
