This motel's landscaping had been neglected for a few years, resulting in a mess of overgrown shrubs, vines and weeds. Garden Design Maine wrangled it back into shape within a few hours.
After all the weeds were removed and the dogwood shrubs were thinned, a lobster trap and buoys were revealed! Our team also added more flowers and shrubs to enhance and extend the visual appeal from May through September.
A residential builder hired Garden Design Maine to plant twenty trees on a new house lot that had accidentally been over cleared during construction.
This motel pool was once shielded from the road by 20' tall arborvitaes, whose stumps still remain buried just under soil surface in the garden bed. With challenging planting conditions and a tight budget, Garden Design Maine was hired to add a few long-blooming, low-maintenance perennials for more "wow" factor. The photo above was taken on planting day. GDM also provides annual maintenance at this site.
Another motel pool garden that needed longer-blooming perennials to enhance its beauty from May to frost. Existing roses, one-and-done lilies and liatris were dug up and reorganized, and complemented with hardy hibiscus, agastache, dwarf buddleia and ornamental grasses. A butterfly's delight!
