Garden Design Maine helped a longtime customer refresh their parents' gravesite garden, which previously featured annuals that did not survive hot summer temperatures and lacked regular water. 

Looking around the cemetery, our team noticed that most of the gravesites were sitting in full sun all day. We also noticed that many contained short-lived annuals such as red geraniums.

Garden Design Maine inquired with the customer as to their mother's favorite colors: purple, and more specifically - lavender. So we thought "What likes hot, dry conditions better than lavender?!!"

A garden design featuring short-statured perennials that love dry, hot conditions --- including lavender --- was created and planted, followed by a fresh layer of mulch.
